Mountain States Resources Corp. said it has received two grants of $50,000 each from Utah agencies for the development of its zircon, titanium and rare earth minerals project.
The grants are the first two applications to be approved for Mountain States. The company has applied for additional grants and funding that will be determined by the various agencies, within the next three months. In addition to the grant money, the company has received commitments from the two counties in which the 5,000-acre properties are located to perform a like amount of value in services. "These services will be very beneficial to the progress of this proj-ect," Enger, president, stated.
The funds are allocated for the detailed Phase III environmental, geologic and technical studies, which will commence immediately. These studies are a major part of the pre-production phase of this project.
"The receipt of the state and county grants demonstrates the potential economic value of this project to the local and state areas, as well as to the company," reported Enger.
