Workers at two Utah military bases received good news Tuesday.

Hill Air Force Base will offer 109 temporary workers full-time positions. And at Tooele Army Depot, 135 temporary workers who were to be laid off Sept. 30 will be retained at least until the end of the year. The announcement was made by Rep. Jim Hansen, R-Utah, a member of the Armed Services Committee. He said the employees are needed because of increases in work on C-130 transports and a work backlog at TAD.
