A local train slammed into an express train near Sofia, Bulgaria, killing at least six people and injuring 80, some critically, an official report said. A terse report from the official BTA news agency said a number of passengers were hospitalized "in very bad condition" after Wednesday's collision, suggesting the death toll was likely to rise. The crash occurred Wednesday afternoon at the Ilientsi station north of the Sofia, BTA said. The express train was heading for Gorna Oryahovitsa, a town in northeastern Bulgaria.
