A Roy woman was killed when the car in which she was riding ran a stop sign Tuesday and crashed into another vehicle, police said.

A McKay-Dee Hospital spokesman said Velma Nelson, 87, who suffered multiple head injuries, was dead on arrival after the 3:13 p.m. accident.Zelma Elliott, 69, Roy, was in satisfactory condition Wednesday with a chest injury. Charles Elliott, 74, was treated for back strain and released, the hospital said.

Lauri Drollette, 24, Clinton, was examined at Humana Hospital Davis North and released.

Sgt. Ed Rhoades said Drollette's southbound car was hit by Zelma Elliott's westbound vehicle after Elliott ran a stop sign. The Elliotts and Nelson were in the same car.
