The $500,000 Sheffield Manor won the People's Choice Grand Award in the 1988 Parade of Homes, said Anne Burns, executive director of the Home Builders Association of Greater Salt Lake.

The People's Choice Awards are determined by visitors to the Parade who vote for their favorites in a variety of categories.The lavish Sheffield Manor was built by KB Builders for Sheffield Development, developer of the Hidden Oaks planned unit community in Sandy where this year's Parade was held. Designer of the home was Robert McArthur. Interior design was by Webb Design Group.

Ethereal Visions won the first place People's Choice award for the Village section of the home show. Builder was Davis Construction, designer was Robert McArthur and interior design was by Jim Micklesen of Foremost Interiors.

First place People's Choice for the Green section of the show was Country Elegance, built by John Shurtleff Construction. Design Masters was the designer and interior design was by The Black Goose and Country Furniture.

Laurel Place won the 2nd place People's Choice award in the Village. Builder was KB Builders, designer was Robert McArthur and interior design was by Julie Johnson-Dunn and Susanne Snow.

Second place People's Choice award winner in the Green was the Stanza, built by Rod Irwin Custom Homes. Designer was Craig Kitterman; interior designers were the Rod Irwin Design Group.
