An F-16A, assigned to the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing at Hill Air Force Base, crashed and another aircraft was damaged during a training mission mishap shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Sylvia Le Mons-Liddle, a base spokeswoman, said Capt. Hal K. Bird ejected safely from the F-16A. Capt. Curtis L. Cook returned safely to base in his aircraft.Le Mons-Liddle said the two aircraft were on a routine training mission and returning to the base at the time of the accident.
