Impeached federal judge Harry Claiborne has been disbarred from practicing law in federal court for at least a year in a U.S. District Court order.

The opinion said a Nevada Supreme Court decision 10 months ago allowing Claiborne to practice law in the state courts was "detailed and scholarly" but "result oriented and one sided."Claiborne was impeached in October 1986 while serving 17 months of a two-year federal sentence on a conviction of under-reporting income taxes for 1979-1980.
