Joseph Bernard "Joe" Mumm, died May 21, 1991, of cardiac arrest.
Born December 13, 1945, to Joseph Frederick and Veronica Novotny Mumm. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and served as alter boy. Due to his father's employment transfer in 1959 he moved with the family to Utah where he attended junior high school and high school. He was in the first graduating class of Hillcrest High School in 1963. Beginning in 1966 he trained with the U.S. Army 82nd Airborn Division during the Viet Nam War, and served in the Army Reserves. Subsequent years were spent in travel and employment with his father, restoring cars and hunting.Preceded in death by his father, only one month ago, he is survived by his mother, Sandy, Utah; four sisters, Judith (Mrs. George) Alley, Logan; Dorothy Atkinson, Petaluma, California; Carolyn Chidester, Sandy; Pam Terry, Salt Lake City.
He will be buried at the family gravesite in Geddes, South Dakota, where joint memorial services will be held for Joe and his father June 7, 1991.
