A Spanish Fork woman suffered severe injuries in the second of two automobile accidents she was involved in Sunday night.

Mary Ruth Richmond, 30, is in critical but stable condition with head and chest injuries at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said.Richmond was hurt when she apparently lost control of her vehicle, causing it to roll twice while she was southbound on U-156 at about 1800 South, said Chief Leland Bowers. An officer at the scene said the car was damaged beyond recognition in the 9 p.m. accident

Bowers said Richmond did not appear to be traveling at an excessive speed.

About 45 minutes prior to the rollover, Bowers said, Richmond was involved in a minor accident at 300 S. Main St. The chief said Richmond collided with another car while turning into a parking lot.

There were no injured in that mishap, Bowers said.

An investigation into both incidents is continuing.
