John A. Bruno, age 81, died May 15, 1991 in a Salt Lake hospital.
He was born September 1, 1909 in Dominico, Italy to Joseph and Marie Rose Riggio Bruno. Married Yolanda Spadafora, April 1, 1934 in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper. Member of the Catholic Church, resident of Helper since 1913. Former employee of Independent Coal & Coke at Castle Gate Mine, he retired in 1969. Retired member of U.M.W.A. Local #1681.Survived by his wife, Yolanda, Helper; one daughter, Mrs. Anthony (Marie) Nelson, Westminster, California; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; also survived by one sister, Mrs. Dan
(Lydia) James, Helper. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Orlando and Guy Bruno.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Helper. Vigil service, Sunday evening 7 p.m. at Mitchell's Chapel; where friends may call Saturday, Sunday and Monday prior to service. Committal service Mountain View Cemetery, Helper.
