An Ogden man accused of being an accomplice in the robbery of $20,000 from two Ogden credit unions pleaded not guilty to federal bank robbery and aiding and abetting charges.

Michael Phillips, 25, entered the plea Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate Ronald Boyce.Phillips originally was charged in Ogden's 2nd Circuit Court, but was later named in a federal grand jury indictment that also named his brother, Roger M. Phillips, 21, of Ogden.

Neither man's case has yet been set for trial in U.S. District Court.

Both men were arrested shortly after the Feb. 28 robbery of $15,158 from Goldenwest Credit Union.
