Three men were arrested early Sunday in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old man outside a dance at the Indian Walk-In Center, 120 W. 1300 South.

Salt Lake Police Lt. John Schroen said the victim, whose name was being withheld pending notification of relatives, was stabbed in the back, shoulder and neck at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The victim apparently got into an argument with others at the dance, which then escalated into a fight involving a knife, Schroen said. The victim was taken to LDS Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A short time after the fight, police officers stopped a vehicle leaving the area and found a bloodied knife inside, Schroen said. The driver and two passengers were booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of criminal homicide.
