Iraq has allowed the release of 29 more prisoners of war, 15 of them Kuwaitis, the Kuwaiti News Agency reported.

The KUNA report Friday did not provide the nationalities of the 14 non-Kuwaitis, but the list of names indicated they were all of Arab origin.Kuwaiti officials say that more than 3,000 Kuwaitis are detained in Iraqi jails and prisons, and the emirate has filed complaints to the United Nations for their release.

Since the war ended in February, allied forces and Iraq have released more than 69,000 prisoners of war, of which 6,000 were Kuwaitis.
