An exuberant woman puts the big squeeze on her returning soldier, one of 11 members of the 151st Civil Engineering Squadron's Fire Protection Branch that returned home from support of Operation Desert Storm on Saturday afternoon. They were deployed Dec. 8 and have been on station longer than any other personnel from the Utah Air National Guard, providing support to the Air Force at Castle AFB, near Merced, Calif. In addition to the usual yellow ribbons, flags and tearful family members, a water-cannon salute greeted the returning firefighters' aircraft as it touched down at the Air National Guard base at 765 N. 2200 West. The soldiers were the last of Utah Air National Guard troops to return home.
