Harold Cabbab drove in the go-ahead run and scored on a wild pitch in an eight-run sixth inning as Hawaii downed Brigham Young, 12-9, in a winner's bracket game in the Western Athletic Conference baseball tournament Friday.

San Diego State, which eliminated Wyoming, 12-2, in an earlier losers' bracket game, played BYU (35-14) Friday night to determine which would face unbeaten Hawaii today for the WAC title.Hawaii (48-14) trailed 7-2 going into the sixth inning, but took advantage of the Cougar starter Rob Jensen who allowed one hit and three walks before being relieved by Ryan Hancock.

Hancock didn't fair much better, giving up three hits and three bases-loaded walks.
