The final 15 members of the Utah Army National Guard's 142nd Military Intelligence Battalion to return from Saudi Arabia began processing in Colorado Thursday and are expected to return home within five days.

"The detachment, which was one of the first two Utah military units activated for Desert Storm service, has been on active duty since August and has been away from home longer than any other deployed unit," said Lt. Col. Bob Nelson, spokesman for the Utah National Guard.Members of the detachment have worked apart from each other most of the time they were in Saudi Arabia, where the Arabic-speaking linguists functioned as interpreters for allied military commanders during the war.
