Lyle Emerson Boyer, 80, died Monday, May 13, 1991 at his home.

Born November 9, 1910 in Coalville, a son of Joseph Henry and Lois Rebecca Wilde Boyer. Married Helen Winters December 4, 1937 in Hoytsville; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple August 1943. Member of the LDS Church, Coalville 2nd Ward, where he held the office of Elder. He spent the greater part of his life as a rancher. Dad was loved and enjoyed by his family and friends. His great sense of humor will be long remembered by those who knew him. He enjoyed his ranch, the outdoors, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.Surviving are his wife, Helen, Coalville; two sons and five daughters, Glen Boyer, Provo; Mrs. Sam (Luana) Lewis, Coalville; Mrs. Rex (Louise) McPherson, Nephi; Roy Boyer, Rock Springs, Wyoming; Mrs. Paul (Betty) Peisley, Riverton; Mrs. Hal (Bonnie) Jones, South Jordan; Mrs. Mike (Lori) Rees, Hoytsville; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, and one sister, William Boyer, and Mrs. Woodrow (Leah) Nielson, both of Coalville. Preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon in the Coalville Stake Chapel, with Bishop Clint Staples officiating. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 268 South Main, Coalville, Friday, 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment, Coalville Cemetery.
