Two former Millard County deputy sheriffs have been accused of fondling women inmates. One also is said to have allowed inmate Janese Carter to have conjugal rights with her husband, former Wendover Police Chief June Carter.
Glen P. Quarnberg, 43, Fillmore, was fired last month and later charged with lewdness, official misconduct and aiding and abetting fornication, 4th Circuit Court documents show.Quarnberg is accused of allowing private contact between the Carters last year while he was on duty between April 5 and Aug. 12.
Janese Carter, 30, was temporarily housed at the county jail, investigators said Tuesday.
The other charges accuse Quarn-berg of fondling another women inmate and encouraging two inmates who were not married to engage in sexual intercourse.
Former Deputy David A. Allen, 22, also of Fillmore, has been charged with two counts of lewdness. He is accused of fondling two women inmates, one in the booking area and the other in a cell.
