"Christo in Paris," a documentary on the artist's 10-year effort to create one of his unique works of environmental art, will be presented by the Utah Film & Video Center Wednesday. The film offers a lyrical and amusing examination of Christo's encounters with Parisian politics and the art community as he attempted to convince them he should be allowed to wrap the 17th-century Pont Neuf bridge in Paris, and then shows his wrapping of the bridge once he gained permission - no small feat. The film also shows the reactions of local Parisians. "Christo in Paris" was in the documentary competition of the most recent Sundance Film Festival in Park City and won an award for best cinematography. It will be shown Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Salt Lake Art Center auditorium, 20 S. West Temple. Admission is $5 for adults, $3.75 for students. For further information, phone 534-1158.
