Two people have died as a result of separate accidents over the Labor Day weekend, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

DEAD:Ruby Willis, 80, Helper.

Standish died Sunday from injuries suffered in a Saturday morning accident. She was traveling south on I-15 in Utah County when her car left the road and rolled in the median, the Highway Patrol said.

She was taken to Mountain View Hospital in Payson, where she died Sunday.

UHP authorities said Willis' body was discovered Sunday in her vehicle at the bottom of a dry wash on Old Coal Creek Road north of Wellington in Carbon County.

Apparently, the accident occurred Saturday night when the vehicle left the road and crashed into the wash, according to the UHP.
