In its meeting Monday, May 13, the Davis County Commission:

- Approved purchase of a new Unisys mainframe computer system and maintenance agreement totaling $344,105. The newer, more powerful computer will cost the county between $8,000 and $9,000 a month less to operate than its current model, commission chairman Gayle Stevenson said.- Approved federal grant applications totaling just over $100,000 for the county's human services department.

- Removed several parcels of property from the county's scheduled May Sale after their owners paid delinquent taxes and penalties.
