Davis County public works staff are reviewing bids for flood control on two projects on Ricks Creek.

The bids for the Centerville project were opened last week in the County Commission meeting. One project is construction of a culvert crossing the creek, the second project is installation of a culvert lining and inlet structure.

Bids on the culvert crossing range from $76,000 to $109,000, all three bids being higher than the engineer's estimate of $61,000.

Bids on the second project, which was split into two parts, range from $33,000 to $50,000 on the culvert lining and from $43,000 to $65,000 on the inlet construction. Engineer estimates on those projects are $36,000 and $45,000, respectively.

The public works staff will recommend next week which bids the commissioners should accept.
