Ruby Fechser Thomas, 77, Twin Falls, died February, May 10, 1991 at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
She was born November 3, 1913 in Mount Pleasant, Utah, the daughter of Hyrum and Tina Sanderson Fechser. She married Owen Thomas on September 17, 1937 in Salt Lake LDS Temple. She and her husband made their home in Salt Lake City until 1989 when they moved to Twin Falls. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and a member of the Twin Falls Sixth Ward. She was active in the theatre both in Salt Lake City and Twin Falls. She was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Surviving besides her husband, Owen, are three sons, Terry Thomas, Redwood City, California; James Thomas, Boise, Idaho; David Thomas, Twin Falls; one daughter, Lynne Cannon, Kansas City, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; two brothers, Don Fexer, Eugene, Oregon; Lloyd Fechser, Carpinteria, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Marsha; one son, Spencer; one grandson, George Cannon and one sister and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the 12th and 14th Ward LDS Chapel, Caswell Avenue, with Bishop Jerry D. Holman conducting. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial in the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery in Salt Lake City on Wednesday at 11 a.m. The family suggets memorials to the Primary Childrens Hospital, 320 12th Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.
