Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Tressa G. Cooper, died May 12, 1991, at the Logan Regional Hospital after a short battle with cancer.

She was born May 2, 1915, in Central, Idaho to Joseph Baxter Gunnell and Bertha Kerr. She married Alton A. Cooper November 20, 1934; he died March 18, 1976. She attended school in Wellsville and graduated from South Cache High School. She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served in Young Women's and Primary. She thoroughly enjoyed her membership in the ward choir and the service she performed in the Logan LDS Temple. She loved the out-of-doors, enjoyed hiking the Wellsvilles, outings with her grand-kids, swimming, working on the farm, caring for animals, and loved to travel.She is survived by three daughters, three sons, and their spouses, Sharilyn and Bill Barrett, Mendon; Nina Lee and Bruce Darley, Hyrum; Boyd and Carolyn Cooper, Jim and Vickie Olson, Jeff and Leesa Cooper, Wellsville; and Lyle Cooper, Logan; one brother, Winston Gunnell, Macks Inn, Idaho; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, and two brothers, Luther and Waldon Gunnell.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon Wednesday, May 15, in the Wellsville 3rd/4th Ward Chapel, 195 South Center, with Bishop Bruce McCamman conducting. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at the Wellsville Chapel. Burial, Wellsville City Cemetery.
