In loving memory of Bob, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and best friend to many, he died May 11, 1991 of a heart attack at the age of 63.
Born December 23, 1927 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Francis Clifton and Olga Middlemas. He was an active member of the Little Cottonwood 16th Ward; sang in the choir and was First Counselor in the Sunday School. Through the years, he fulfilled many callings in the Young Men's, Scouting, Explorers, and Sunday School. Currently, he served the Blue Goose Insurance Organization as Executive Secretary and has been the Grand Gander. He was an Eagle Scout, graduated from South High School in 1945, graduated from the University of Utah in 1951 where he was an active member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Married Gay Carter, November 17, 1951; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served in the United States Navy in World War II and the Korean Conflict. Retired from the Insurance Industry after 35 years of dedicated service, and loved golf and all his golf buddies in the County Seniors' Golf League. Through the years and all his activities, he was friend and a devoted family man, who will be missed.Survived by his wife; four children, Bob; David and his wife, Thuy; Julie; Chris; one grandson, Michael; one brother, Francis; two sisters, Helen Schuchert and Beverly Evans. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie and his parents, Cliff and Olga Middlemas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 12 noon, May 16, 1991, at the Little Cottonwood 16th Ward, 6350 Rodeo Lane. Friends may call Wednesday 5-8 p.m., Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, and Thursday at the ward one hour prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
