Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Dan Kirk Hansen, age 85, passed away May 12, 1991, peacefully at home, after a long valiant battle with cancer.

Dan was born February 28, 1906 in Tooele, Utah, the son of Samuel Edward and Mary Marietta Kirk Hansen. He married Dorothy May Kirk, December 24, 1936 in Denver, Colorado; later Solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, May 4, 1937. He grew up in Afton and Kemmerer, Wyoming. Graduated Valedictorian from Kemmerer High School. Dan went to work for the Kemmerer First National Bank as assistant cashier and was later transferred to the Federal Reserve Bank in Salt Lake City. He was subsequently set apart as recorder in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, retiring after 28 years of devoted service. He was an active member of the LDS Church, he served as a counselor in four bishoprics and was set apart as a sealer in both the Salt Lake and Ogden LDS Temples. Was currently a member of the Farmington 7th Ward.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Farmington; children, Judith Ann (John) Knight, Bountiful; John Alan (Sally), West Bountiful; Steven Kirk (Dianne), LaSal, Utah; Linda Jean Rosine, Ogden; Juelle (Keith) Sorensen, David Blaine (Melony), Mariane H. Wheelwright, all of Farmington; brother, Frank Hansen, San Lorenzo, California; 20 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and five sisters.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 16, 12 noon, at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 55 South Main, Bountiful. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and at the church Thursday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment: Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful.
