The Alpine School District will offer free English as a second language classes this fall for adults 18 and older.

The course will concentrate on survival English to help adults function more independently in the community. Conversational skills will be taught so students can shop and go to the bank, post office and the doctor.An intermediate course that will strengthen students' vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation will also be available.

Both courses will operate on an open entry basis, so students can register and begin at any time. Classes meet from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights in room 107 at Mountain View High School, 645 W. Center Street, Orem.

All students should bring their resident alien cards to class when registering. For more information call 756-7832.
