Lydell Carr's eighth touchdown of the season helped the Barcelona Dragons avenge their only loss with a 17-7 victory over the San Antonio Riders in a WLAF game on Saturday night.

Carr's 1-yard run capped a 13-play drive on Barcelona's first possession. The running back has scored in every game.Interceptions by Chris Fryer and Ron Goetz in the fourth quarter, coupled with a 35-yard touchdown pass from Tony Rice to Gene Taylor with 1:54 to play, sealed the win.

North American teams are winless in 10 games in Europe this season.

Barcelona (7-1) won its third straight and remained a half game behind the London Monarchs (7-0) in the WLAF's European Division. The Dragons, who lost in San Antonio earlier this year, are virtually assured of at least a wildcard playoff berth.

San Antonio (3-5) has lost three straight and must win its remaining two games for a chance at the playoffs.
