When the Chicago Bulls selected Yugoslavian National Team star Toni Kukoc with their only pick in the 1990 NBA draft, the organization took a huge gamble that failed to pay off.

After nearly a year of negotiations between the Bulls, Kukoc, his family and his two agents, the 23-year-old, 6-foot-9 swingman announced Friday he would take a pass on the NBA and the Bulls, instead remaining in Europe to play with the Benetton pro team of Italy.
