Anna Ernst Demos, 66, of Provo, died May 11, 1991 at her home in Provo, Utah.

She was born November 6, 1924 a daughter of Jakob and Emilie Reeber Ernst in Munchweiler, Rodalb, Germany. She married Bill Howard Demos April 3, 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.She moved to Provo in 1974 from New York City.She served two years as an apprentice in Germany in fashion. She spent two years at the Fashion Institute of New York where she worked as a sample maker with Mollie Parnis at Coutoure Design. She was an accomplished seamstress and fashion design instructor at BYU. She was instrumental in placing many BYU fashion design students in design internships in the United States and in Europe.

She was a devoted wife and mother. She served a full time LDS Mission in North Germany. She was active in the LDS Church, having been called to serve in Relief Society, Young Women's, Primary, and the library.

Survivors include her husband of Provo, two daughters, Melissa Ann Kendall, and Nicole Melissa Demos both of Provo. She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, Maria Ernst of Orem, Hermine Streb of Germany, Emma Maier of Canada, Alfred Ernst of Canada, Emil Ernst of Germany. She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 15, 1991, at 11:00 the Oak Hills Stake Center North Chapel 1600 North 900 East, in Provo. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Oak Hills Stake Center and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund will be established in her name for design students at BYU. Services Under the direction of Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary of Orem.
