If a machine scrapes, cuts, calibrates, sprays, seals, fastens, lubricates, measures or lifts it can be seen at the 12th annual Utah Industrial, Construction and Machine Tool Show at the Salt Palace, Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 and 16.

The show will feature hundreds of items on display including custom industrial vehicles, machinery and prototypes. It is produced by Industrial Shows of America and organized in connection with Associated General Contractors, Associated Builder and Contractors and the Utah Department of Community and Economic Development.During the show, Gov. Norm Bangerter will drive a Caterpillar Special Edition 416 Series II backhoe loader, courtesy of Wheeler Machinery. One of these will be given away June 30 during a national drawing to commemorate the 25,000th backhoe made by Caterpillar. People attending the show are eligible for the drawing.

Mayor Palmer DePaulis will drive a miniature Indy 500 car and it will be given away via a drawing by Con-oco Oil and Jardine Petroleum.
