Ole "Six-Pack-to-Go" is coming to Salt Lake City.

Hank Thompson, king of honky-tonk swing, will be putting on a show Thursday at the Plaza Club.Thompson, who has written or co-written more than 200 country songs over the years, was the first country

musician to use amplified instruments and the first to take western swing into the East Coast ballrooms.

He'll be doing "Wild Side of Life," "Squaws Along the Yukon," and "Six Pack to Go."

The evening is being sponsored by the Utah Songwriters Association. There will be a buffet dinner and some performances by members of the local group as well. For ticket information call 272-4925.
