Three people were injured in a four-car accident Thursday morning on U.S. 89 at Oakhills Drive in Layton, according to investigating officer Dale Bowker of the Layton police.

Bowker said a car driven by Tyler M. Sargis, 21, Layton, was turning left onto U.S. 89 from Oakhills and was struck by a car driven by Sheila K. Moore, 31, also of Layton. The impact pushed the Sargis vehicle into a pickup truck driven by Kimberly Webb, 21, Bountiful, Bowker said, which in turn collided with a semi-truck and trailer driven by James V. St. John, 53, Salt Lake City.

Sargis and his passenger, Donelle T. Sargis, 19, also of Layton, along with Webb were transported to Humana Hospital Davis North. Bowker said the three were not seriously injured in the 7 a.m. incident.
