A Canadian Sikh was convicted of manslaughter Friday for making a bomb that exploded at a Japanese airport, killing two baggage handlers.

Justice Raymond Paris of the British Columbia Supreme Court said Inderjit Singh Reyat, a former auto electrician, "either fabricated or at the very least aided others" to build a suitcase bomb that was to have been used to blow up an Indian airliner.Reyat, 39, will be sentenced June 7. He has been in custody for more than three years since being extradited from England, where his wife and children live.
