Reed C. Culp, Sr., age 85, died May 8, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born June 22, 1905 in Scottsville, Kansas, son of Charles Sherman and Lillie Reeder Culp. Married Helen Ensign April 18, 1928 in Salt Lake City. Mr. Culp was very active in civic, local, State and National boards and organizations. He was international president of Kiwanis International. He served on the Salt Lake City Library Board and the Board of Regents of the U. of U. Member of El Kalah Temple of the Shrine, 32nd degree Mason Progress Lodge, York Rite and Scottish Rite bodies, and Red Cross of Constantine. Partner and owner of Culp & Sons Sheep Company with his brothers and later with his sons.Survived by: wife; sons, Sherman A. Culp and Carl A. Culp, seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn V. Culp and sister, Martha Culp Prisk, both of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by son, Reed C., Jr. in 1986.

In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to Intermountain Unit of Shriners Hospital for Cripples Children, or Utah Boys Ranch.

Private family graveside services will be held Saturday, May 11, at the Slat Lake City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Evans & Early Mortuary.
