Our beloved sister, aunt and friend, Emmie Sue Tatum, died May 8, 1991, following a long and brave struggle with many health difficulties.
She was born May 8, 1954, in Waycross, Georgia, to Thomas Mathew and Anna Ruth Gaster Tatum. She was a member of the LDS Church, and a graduate of Hillcrest High School. Emmie loved her family. She raised three of her brother's children, and was special to all of her nieces and nephews. She loved family reunions, and was very close to her relatives in Georgia and Florida. She loved the outdoors. Although her health prevented her from actively participating in many activities, she was always a strength to her family and her many friends. Emmie had been on dialysis for 13 years, prior to undergoing a successful kidney transplant in March of 1990.She is survived by a sister, Phyllis, Midvale; brothers Tom and Philip, Sandy; 11 nieces and nephews; and one great-niece. She was preceded in death by her parents.
