The 1st District Republican testified Tuesday before the Interior subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee.Hansen, a member of the Interior Committee, is seeking $1.7 million for second-year spending to rehabilitate the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in northern Utah.

Hansen also asked for $3 million in seed money for a shuttle system for Zion National Park.
