The national president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Ruby Paul, will visit Utah Friday, May 17. She will be honored at a luncheon in Springville that day, and she will lay a wreath at the memorial in the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery at the Point of the Mountain at 11 a.m.

That evening a banquet will be given in Spanish Fork in recognition of the American Legion's service to youth and children.Mrs. Paul, a lifelong resident of Nebraska, has been recognized for her volunteer work by former Govenors J.J. Exon of Nebraska and George Wallace of Alabama, the American Red Cross and the Department of the Air Force.

The American Legion Auxiliary, with a membership of nearly 1 million volunteers, is the world's largest patriotic women's service organization. It annually contributes more than 11 million volunteer hours and donates an estimated $13.4 million for veterans, their families and the community.

American Legion Auxiliary units operate in all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico and many foreign countries.
