Provo and Orem have been named "SuperHost cities" as part of a pilot program designed to help businesses better deal with their customers.
SuperHost is an internationally recognized hospitality and customer service training program developed by the British Columbia Ministry of Tourism. The program deals with skills necessary to effectively and professionally provide quality service to local residents, the traveling public, business travelers and recreationists.SuperHost will target community, corporate and educational sponsors in Utah Valley, including hotels, restaurants, banks, ski resorts and colleges. The program is sponsored by the Utah County Travel Council.
The Utah County Travel Council is looking for commitments from interested businesses in the area. The financial and technical aspects of the program are currently being worked out and training is scheduled to begin by the end of June.
