Beloved father and grandfather, James Ray Jorgensen died May 4, 1991 in a Mt. Pleasant hospital.
Born May 20, 19002 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of James and Caroline Fredricksen Jorgensen. Married Delma Mortensen August 19, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He was a farmer, a superintendent of Sunday School, Scout Master, home teacher, Sunday School teacher, secretary for Seventy's Quorum, Adult Aaronic Group Leader, MIA counselor, ward executive, secretary. He was president of Farm Bureau and secretary of Farm Bureau.
Survived by his wife; three children and their spouses, James Niel (Diane) Jorgensen; Robert (Betty) Jorgensen, all Mt. Pleasant; Colleen (Kayle) Morley, Moroni; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas Jorgensen, Manti, and sister, Ruth Cox, Mesa, Arizona. Preceded in death by son, Keith R. Jorgensen; sisters, Eula Seely and Rhoda Drage.
Funeral services Monday, May 6, 1991, at 1:00 p.m., Mt. Pleasant 2nd 7-9 p.m., and Monday at the ward chapel, one and one half hours prior to services. Interment, Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
