H. Waldemar Petersen, 81, died May 2, 1991 in American Fork, Utah.

Born October 6, 1909, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Peter Melvin and Viona Leta Banks Petersen. He married Gloria Faye Oliver, February 7, 1944 in Houston, Texas. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 23, 1958. He served an LDS mission to Hawaii, and served in numerous callings in the church. He attended the University of Utah and LDS Business College. He had lived most of his adult life in Houston, Texas.He is survived by his wife of American Fork, a son, Robert C. and his wife, Coralee Petersen, Angleton, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Val (Laura A.) Dunn, American Fork; 11 grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Viona Thornton, California; Melvin Banks Petersen, Orma Banks Huefner, LeRoy E. Petersen, Elizabeth Kranwinkle, Orville Banks Petersen, all of Salt Lake; Marion Broman, Washington.

Funeral Services will be Monday, 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 22nd Ward, 673 East 300 North, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Anderson & Sons Mortuary.
