Nan Fowell Andrews, born April 18, 1948, died May 1, 1991 in Salt Lake City.
She was born in Trenton, New Jersey and raised in Yardley, Pennsylvania. She married Scott William Andrews and the couple moved to Scott's home state of California in 1967. She resided in the Salt Lake City area for the last seventeen years of her life.Nan was a junior at the University of Utah, enrolled in the Family and Consumer Studies program when she died following a five year struggle against cancer. She was an excellent, loving mother to her three sons and a good friend to many. All who knew her enjoyed her off-beat sense of humor and unique perspective on life.
She is survived by her three sons, Jason, Joshua, and Benjamin Andrews, all of Salt Lake City; her three sisters, Susan Moody, Bedford, Massachusetts, Rita Tarangioli, Hamilton Square, New Jersey, Myrna Wolf, Salt Lake City; her brother, John Charles Fowell, Cream Ridge, New Jersey, and numerous nieces and nephews including Al Zoda of Salt Lake and Jay and Teresa Zoda, of Elsmere, Kentucky.
A memorial services will be held at the First Unitarian Church, 569 South 13th East on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make a contribution to her memorial gift fund at Holy Cross Hospital.
