A May 22 hearing has been scheduled for two businesses accused of selling beer to minors.

The city has filed notices against Circle K and Hardy Enterprises, ordering the businesses to show why their beer licenses should not be revoked or suspended. The orders accuse Circle K, 458 N. 500 West, and Hardy Enterprises, which owns a Texaco station at 280 W. 500 South, of selling beer to underage police operatives on Dec. 10 and on March 13.

Under the city's beer ordinance enforcement policy, police officers send a minor into each business four times a year. If a business sells beer twice a year, its beer license is subject to action.
