Hilda M. Thompson, age 82, of Delta, died May 1, 1991 in the Delta Hospital.

She was born November 8, 1908 at Cedar City, Utah to Thomas F. and Rachel Evans McConnell. She attended schools in Cedar City graduating from Cedar City High School. Married Louis James Thompson at Parowan, Utah September 3, 1929; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Her husband died June 4, 1960. Her early married life was spent in Cedar City before moving to Milford, where her husband was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad. In 1950, they moved to the Delta area where she has since resided. She worked for a number of years as the Delta City Librarian.She is survived by sons and daughters, L. Mack and Barbara Thompson, Milford; Bevan and Barbara Thompson, Sandy; Mrs. Robert (Arma) Holman, Delta; Mrs. Larry (Suzy) Moody, West Jordan; Mrs. Michael (Kathy) Damron, Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; sister, Pheobe Day, Draper.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 6, 1991, at 11 a.m., in the Delta 2nd Ward LDS Chapel. Friends may call at the Nickle Mortuary, Sunday, 7-8 p.m. and at the church Monday, one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Oasis Cemetery.
