Beloved husband, uncle, brother, father and grandfather, Barney D. Murdock, 58, died May 1, 1991 at his home in Heber City.
Born June 28, 1932 in Midway, Utah to Joseph Stacy and Melba Holmes Murdock. Married Louise McDonald February 25, 1981, Elko, Nevada. They had ten wonderful years of marriage. He worked as a carpenter for W.W. Clyde Construction for 28 years and was a member of the Carpenters Union #1498. Member LDS Church and was an Eagle Scout. Four year Veteran of the US Navy. Barney loved children and all the neighborhood children loved to visit with him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.Survived by wife, Heber City; stepchildren, Kent and Karen Smith, Guy and Becky Duke, Lynn and Gladys Stevens, all of Heber City; Gary and Susan Buehner, Salt Lake City; special niece, Marcy McMillan and her son Ty, Rancho Cucamonga, California; many other special nieces and nephews; 12 special grandchildren, whom he loved very much; sister, Joan Edler, Heber City; mother-in-law, Zina McDonald, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Darsa Burgener and Marilyn Elder.
Funeral services Saturday 1 p.m. at the Heber 9th Ward, where friends may meet the family, two hours prior to the services. Burial Midway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the National Society to Prevent Blindness, 661 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111.
