A man was in critical condition after being shot Saturday morning in downtown Salt Lake City.
Sgt. Don Bell said police were summoned to the Stratford Hotel, 169 E. Second South, around 5:30 a.m. by a patron who called from a pay phone. "We're assuming at this time that the man got into an altercation with one, two or three other people." The 29-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso, and later underwent surgery at LDS Hospital.Bell said police are looking for as many as three people for questioning in connection with the incident.
The victim's name was not released, pending notification of relatives.
