Richard K. Grover, director of print services at Brigham Young University, has accepted an appointment as assistant administrative vice president, BYU President Rex E. Lee has announced.

The appointment is effective June 15.Grover will replace Associate Administrative Vice President John B. Stohlton, who has been called as president of the Australia Melbourne Mission of the LDS Church.

Grover will answer to Administrative Vice President Dee F. Andersen and be responsible for media services, communications systems, print services and mail services.

The new appointee joined the BYU administration in 1966 and has served as editor, assistant chairman and chairman of university publications. He was assistant director of the BYU Press before becoming director of print services in 1984.

Grover also has taught with the Hawaii State Department of Education and was a faculty member and administrator at Liahona High School, Nuku'alofa, Tonga.

While on leave from BYU in 1980, he was assistant director of the University of Illinois Press.

Grover, who was born in Tooele and reared in Brigham City, earned his bachelor's degree from BYU where he also has done graduate work. He is a U.S. Army veteran.
