City officials will unveil the Provo Riverbottoms emergency evacuation plan in a series of meetings next week.

Six information meetings are planned for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 6-8, to present the plan to citizens who live and work in the area. The plan details escape routes citizens are to follow in the event of a natural disaster, such as the failure of the Deer Creek Dam.Meeting times and locations are:

May 6

- 6:30 p.m. Grandview School gymnasium. Citizens living between the mouth of Provo Canyon and 4400 North, and the Orem bench on the west and the Provo bench on the east.

- 8 p.m. Westridge Elementary School gymnasium. Residents of Carterville Road between the mouth of Provo Canyon and 4400 North, and the Orem and Provo benches.

May 7

- 6:30 p.m. Timpview High School, Room 222. Citizens east of the Provo River between 4400 North and 3300 North.

- 8 p.m. Westridge Elementary School gymnasium. Residents west of the Provo River between 4400 North and 3300 North.

May 8

- 6:30 p.m. Marriott Center, Cougar Room. Citizens living in low-lying areas (foundations less than 15 feet above the top of the river bank) east of the Provo River between 3300 North and University Parkway.

- 8 p.m. Westridge Elementary School. Residents west of the Provo River between 3300 North and University Parkway.
