Relief groups have been unable to provide enough food for more than 1 million refugees in southeastern Ethiopia, relief officials said Friday. The refugees could run out of food within two weeks, one relief agency said.

Paul Mitchell, of the Rome-based U.N. World Food Program, said there was only enough food now to provide half rations.Donors have promised half of the 240,000 tons of food needed for the refugees, but very little of that has been delivered, Mitchell said.
