Cast auditions for the 1991 Utah Pageant of the Arts will be held on Monday, May 6, from 3-9 p.m., at Skyline High School, 3251 E. 3760 South in Salt Lake City.

Some 80 cast members from children to adults will be needed for each performance, and the show will be double cast, according to director David O. Brockbank.Applicants will be photographed full front and side, to help in casting according to body structure and size. All cast members will be required to perform in 12 performances, plus two rehearsals. They will not be paid. Acting skill is not required, but applicants should have the ability to follow directions, hold a pose without movement, and should not be allergic to makeup.

This year's pageant will be held in the Capitol Theatre, Salt Lake City, from Friday, June 7, through Saturday, July 6, except Sundays. The July 4 performance will include a special patriotic ceremony.

Tickets range from $10-$16, now on sale at Pageant Center, 1225 E. Main in Lehi, Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., 756-3505.
